Today, the children listened to the ‘Carnival of the Animals’ and needed to use clues in the music to figure out which animal the piece of music was about. After this, they listened to the poem ‘At the Zoo’ by W M Thackery. They discussed the vocabulary in the poem and how it was written as a list. After this, the children had to listen again to the poem and order the animals correctly, before rehearsing the poem and performing it.
